Red/Green

These blocks are a mixture of blocks from the Morrell Quilt designed by Di Ford and other block patterns.   You can see the story of how I started this project here.

Having now decided that I do not really like Broderie Perse, am going to make the pieced and appliqued quilts from the pattern and add some other block patterns to make a Red and Green Sampler quilt.   Am undecided if I’ll keep the centre medallion, or just use the blocks… will see how I travel!

Am going to post photo’s of finished blocks on this page.

My blocks completed to date:

I too, love red and green quilts. Actually, I just love antique and vintage and repro quilts. fullstop…. LOL!!!
Your blog is really progressing. The tabs at the top are a great idea.

I think you might live near me… not too sure… I guess closer than someone in another country!!

btw, can’t see a hole… put a charm or suffolk puff over the middle if it worries you.

  2. Hey I like these. How many blocks will be in your finished quilt? Is it a long term project that depends on your moods or are you rally into it and working hard?

  3. Oh it is looking REALLY good! Well done that girl.

  7. Love your Morell & Perfect Union applique blocks. If you’re not going to do the broderie perse blocks would you be interested in selling the floral fabric pictured?
